I walk into the BBlunt salon with parched skin to dive into the latest Skeyndor facial (the prized pick on the skincare menu): an intensive 90-minute hydrating session of sheer bliss.
My expert therapist, Mayuri, starts with the cleansing balm, the Urban Micellar Balm to Oil formulation, which acts as a magical makeup remover with its light milky emulsion wearing off the grime and dust. The Skeyndor Expert Cleanse PRO then steps in as the second part of the deep cleansing process, using its Mattifying Foam in Gel format to make my face feel squeaky clean. I find the range of products light and mild (perfect for all skin types), leaving my skin feeling ultra-soft.
The Rebalancing Hydra Comfort Mist restores my skin's pH with its cooling, moisturising comfort. Following the Renewing Acid Peel Gel, it gently exfoliates to remove dead cells and powers a radiant surge in my complexion. Its renewing acid power works away the insidious dust agents lurking in my skin's pores. This effect works beautifully in tandem with the suction pen Extraction that eases out the stubborn blackheads and whiteheads to make my skin feel cleaner and firmer. The hot weather demands hydration at every step and a light spray of the Rebalancing Hydra Comfort Mist soothes my face with its gentle touch.
By this time, my sulking summer skin begins to warm up to the pampering that begins to build up, in the double peel mask. The sheet mask comes packed with the goodness of rejuvenating serum in its fruity power. Mayuri works the ultrasonic tool on top of this mask to make sure the serum penetrates the pores of my skin, giving it the smooth, supple complexion. A winsome collagen booster.
The experience moves beyond tending my face with precious elixirs. A gentle application of a soothing balm on my hands and feet preps them for a gentle massage, easing away the fatigue from my digits in slow, rhythmic movements. The lavender and cinnamon essence of the aroma balm leave their soothing scent on my fingers and toes for the rest of the day.
Back to my face. The Expression Lines Concentrate appears as a mini ninja with its revitalising touch to better my skin elasticity. Mayuri follows this up with the Skin Plumping Concentrate with caviar in moisturiser format to prop up my skin radiance – this secret ingredient works its charm on my summer ravaged skin. She works in the ingredients with the Hydra Dermabrasion Probe.
The Skeyndor facial brings in a welcome splash of face contouring as well. With the serum application and the massage that follows using the applicator, Mayuri lifts and shapes my skin with her thumb and knuckles, varying the pressure as her palms move across my face. This leaves me feeling lazy, in a lull, and drifting off to noddy land.
The Jasmine Relaxing Mask arrives as the showstopper to work its finishing touch on my rejuvenated face. Firm strokes on my scalp compose the much- needed head massage to top off my treatment.
