GlobalSpa brings West Coast ease to the capital with Visit California and Fashion Designer Mandira Wirk.
New Delhi witnessed a slice of sun-drenched California as GlobalSpa hosted The California Edit, an intimate evening that brought together fashion, travel, and cultural storytelling in an immersive format. Held at The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi, on April 10, 2026, the event was in collaboration with Visit California and designer Mandira Wirk.
The evening kicked off with a fashion show by Mandira Wirk, where the designer displayed her bespoke capsule collection, inspired by California’s diverse landscapes—from the golden shores of Malibu to the vineyard-draped calm of Napa Valley, the desert hues of Palm Springs and the glamour of Los Angeles.
Titled The Only Resort, the line translated California’s way of life into fluid silhouettes, tactile fabrics and a palette shaped by coastal light, desert warmth and twilight skies. Drawing from Shadows of Flora, the collection reimagined florals as softened impressions, layered through light and shadow across three distinct print stories—Scarlet, Jade, and Mist. Ruffles, fringes, and delicate gold accents lent movement and dimension, while each handcrafted piece reflected a quiet, contemporary luxury rooted in freedom and ease. “For me, resort wear has always been about a feeling—when a woman is completely at ease,” said Wirk, encapsulating the ethos of the collection.
The event unfolded as a curated experience, drawing an influential mix of tastemakers, industry insiders, and cultural voices. Adding to the immersive narrative was a thoughtfully curated wine tasting booth, which offered guests a sensory glimpse into California’s celebrated vineyards. Speaking on the collaboration, Caroline Beteta, President and CEO of Visit California, highlighted the state’s enduring influence across fashion, wellness and lifestyle. The showcase, she noted, was designed to inspire Indian travellers to experience California as a destination defined by personal freedom, natural beauty and understated luxury.
