“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women's Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.
A budding entrepreneur, Ritika Jatin Ahuja spearheads the Merchandising section at Big Boy Toyz.
What is your wellness philosophy?
My Wellness philosophy is to maintain a relaxed mind at work also diet and exercise plays an important role in our lives. A well-balanced diet is important, particularly during working hours. I make it a point to work out every day in addition to my diet. Even if it's anything as easy as walking while talking.
Your success mantra?
It’s important to work wholeheartedly, and also share experiences with one another on how we can improve our professional & personal lives to better obtain our goals. By helping and lifting each other we are building a better work environment and a better place to live in each day.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
I learn from everything I do. Learning has no age limits. In my personal life, I believe in it. Learning how to make the most of your mistakes will help you rework and reshape your priorities, refocus on your career, and feel more optimistic in life. Making mistakes helps you to discover what you love and gives you an opportunity to make the most of the resources to achieve the desired goal.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
My Husband is a keen believer and always stresses on it, that ‘hard work never goes waste’. I would like to tell everybody the same thing that hard work never goes to waste. According to me achievers are not who never fail they are the ones who never stop working towards their dreams.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
I have never thought of taking this as pride because if I would ever take pride in it, that’s not actually correct. Whatever position you are in, a person should always remain down to earth. I feel really humbled and respected that I have been given that kind of appreciation. It would be a true blessing if my work could even influence one woman.
