What is HYROX and Is it More Than Just a Gym Trend?

Post the craze of marathons and run clubs, HYROX is India’s newest way to keep fit!

A major transformation is taking place in the fitness industry, and it is moving away from traditional training and towards performing exercise in a community setting with a performance-based focus rather than a purely individualised workout approach. This has helped HYROX become one of the most recognised global providers of fitness racing – transforming our mindsets towards physical fitness.

Since the establishment of HYROX in 2017, the unique feature of HYROX is that it has a standardised procedure for an endurance-based and functional strength-based fitness race. The way HYROX conducts its events makes them very accessible to all fitness levels, which has resulted in the creation of the only true community-based and scalable fitness movement by growing in popularity and size globally with everyday fitness enthusiasts.

In addition to HYROX, there is also a large increase in the number of fitness consumers looking to train in groups. Modern fitness consumers increasingly see advantages of training together in a communal environment, thus providing more motivation, accountability, and a sense of belonging. When exercising in a group environment, there is a greater degree of consistency in your workout routine and a greater level of commitment to successfully completing the workout with a focus on achieving a goal.

The shift in training evolution can also be seen by the changes to member needs at Jetts Fitness. More and more people are requesting/voicing a need to engage in a closely structured, community-orientated workout programme, which includes all three elements of fitness: strength, endurance, and functionality – within a group training format – to assist in the attainment of their goals while benefiting from group dynamics and energy to assist them in achieving their fitness goals.

This shift in consumer behaviour towards group training is also evident with the rise of hybrid fitness, which consists of a variety of different training modalities being combined together to generate the greatest results within various body types.
