With therapeutic massages, a salt wall, a Vichy shower, a state-of-the-art fitness facility and a lot more, this urban spa delivers a complete wellness reset.
Living in a city that screams chaos, I used to think that I could achieve a state of complete relaxation and unwind only if I jet off to a remote island, the countryside or the mountains. But thanks to Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport, I discovered an escape within the hustle and bustle of Delhi – The R The Spa.
R The Spa at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport greets you with a cascading and soothing rain fountain running throughout the three levels of the urban spa, a spurting lotus fountain and calming sounds that lull you even before you are swooned over to your therapy room.

The three levels are divided according to your needs. The first level, or first R, is dedicated to Rejuvenation and caters to all things fitness, including a well-equipped gym, yoga classes and an expansive outdoor pool – which tempted me to take a dip in! The second level calls for Relaxation and this is where you get all your massages and therapies. Dedicated to Replenishment, the last and third level is a sprawling salon for all your beauty requirements.
My ‘Relaxation’ session on the second floor began with a warm and easy conversation with my therapist about what my body actually needed (something I clearly don’t ask myself often enough). Based on that, she suggested a Balinese Massage – a medium-to-strong, deep-tissue experience that promised to work through every knot I’d been carrying around. Soon after I was led into one of the eight treatment rooms named after flowers. Orchid, White Lotus, Firangpani, and Iris – a small but thoughtful detail that immediately made the space feel softer.
My spa suite felt cocoon-like from the moment I stepped in. The lighting was low and flattering, the air scented with calming essential oils, a wardrobe area where I could comfortably fit all my belongings, a private shower room, and two plush massage beds. Once the treatment began, I slipped into the arms of Morpheus, and the 60-minute session passed far too quickly. My therapist worked methodically with warm rose and geranium oil, and using a combination of firm palm strokes, precise thumb pressure, and long, flowing movements, she focused on releasing deep-seated tension.

After the therapeutic session and a much-needed head massage, I headed straight for a shower. For those who prefer extending the ritual, the spa offers separate steam and sauna rooms, along with a Jacuzzi designed for post-treatment unwinding.
One of the standout features here is the Salt Wall, where halotherapy and dry heat work together to support detoxification and respiratory wellness. The spa also offers a Vichy Shower, Wrap, and Massage therapy — a beautifully choreographed experience that combines gentle exfoliation, warm cascading water jets, and a deeply relaxing massage.
What truly sets R The Spa apart is its attention to the details that often get overlooked. Back in my spa suite, the post-treatment amenities were impressively well thought out. I found everything I needed laid out — from a hair and nail kit to hair serum, body and hand creams, and even a fresh deodorant.
Post my treatment, I found myself in the spa lounge area. Sipping my warm herbal tea and listening to the calming sound of water, I found an escape within the confines of my city for a fuss-free wellness escape.
