Here’s everything that’s shaping the wellness conversation this month.
Wellness in 2026 is no longer confined to spas and smoothie bowls — it’s a mindset influencing how we travel, train, eat, and recover. From rainforest resorts that double as biodiversity sanctuaries to data-driven fitness clubs, women-only wellness communities, and protein-positive food challenges, the industry is evolving with intention. Here’s a curated look at the newest openings, initiatives and experiences redefining holistic living across India.
1. Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg Sets a Gold Standard in Sustainable Living

Enforcing the vision of Paathya, IHCL’s ESG+ framework, Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg is championing eco-living within a 180-acre rainforest landscape. Home to 310 species of birds, 68 species of butterflies, 79 species of mammals, and 32 species of frogs, the property was developed over seven years without cutting a single tree, utilising just 30 acres for construction. With an Air Quality Index consistently below 3 and a fully plastic-free environment, the resort holds the EarthCheck Gold Certification. A dedicated Batracharium, created after documenting frog species on the estate, offers insight into the region’s amphibian life under the guidance of an in-house naturalist. A Biodiversity Photography Club, guided forest walks, a Butterfly Park, honey cultivation with 32 active bee colonies, pottery sessions, and a heritage conservatory celebrating Kodava culture further deepen its sustainability ethos.
Operationally, the resort integrates conservation into daily practice through naturally ventilated public spaces, natural lighting, LED usage, and electric mobility. All wastewater is treated and reused for irrigation and flushing, while over 84% of electricity has been sourced from wind energy over the last two years. Community engagement and upliftment remain integral to its long-term impact.
2. Evolve: A Women-Only Wellness Club Opens in Delhi

Evolve, the country’s first women-only wellness club founded by Anu Bajaj along with entrepreneur Shivam Bajaj, opens at Dhanmill Compound, New Delhi. Designed by Amith Chhabra of Studio LCD, the 6,000-square-foot sanctuary draws inspiration from the fluidity and strength of water, unfolding across interconnected zones including a members’ lounge, gym, Pilates and yoga studios, meditation and recovery spaces, and a spa.
Offerings range from Pilates, yoga, strength training and physiotherapy to infrared sauna, red light therapy, sound healing, women-specific recovery protocols, massage therapies and personalised nutrition plans. Ayurveda is thoughtfully integrated as a supportive tool within its evidence-led wellness philosophy. A wellness bar curated by Café Subko serves matcha, functional blends, and adaptogenic nutrition, reinforcing its holistic approach.
3. 7 Ocean Fitness & Wellness Club Debuts in Gurgaon

7 Ocean Fitness & Wellness Club introduces a luxury-led, holistic wellness destination in Gurgaon, organised around two pillars: fitness and recovery. The fitness ecosystem is powered by Technogym’s connected smart machines and digital platforms, offering guided workouts across strength, cardio, functional training, and a dedicated spinning studio. BioStrength machines ensure biomechanically aligned movement, while the Technogym Body Composition Analyser delivers AI-driven body assessments within seconds.
Beyond training, the club integrates mental wellbeing through dance, CrossFit, kickboxing, sculpt, yoga flow and breathwork sessions. Recovery facilities include infrared red light therapy saunas, rock salt hammam steam rooms, and chilled showers designed to reduce inflammation. Café 7, the in-house wellness café and lounge, completes the experience with a focus on nutrition and mindful lifestyle choices.
4. Zomato’s Healthy High-Five Challenge
Running through February, Zomato’s Healthy High-Five Challenge encouraged users to order nutritious, high-protein meals to earn rewards. Since February 1, over 10 lakh Indians have ordered healthy meals with over 20 grams of protein more than 15 lakh times.
Since the launch of Healthy Mode in 2025, the platform has recorded 74 lakh orders from 12 lakh customers, reflecting a growing inclination toward balanced eating. There has been a 20% uptick in dishes with ‘High’ healthy scores compared to September 2025. Bangalore leads participation, followed by Delhi and Mumbai.
To qualify, dishes must contain at least 20 grams of protein and a high Healthy Score — a metric that evaluates protein, complex carbs, fibre, and micronutrients, not just calories. Four High-fives unlock a free dish from a curated high-nutrition menu within Healthy Mode.

6. Samsung Electronics Expands Galaxy for the Planet With 2030 Sustainability Goals

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the next phase of its Galaxy for the Planet initiative, expanding its environmental commitments with new goals through 2030. Launched in 2021 as the sustainability platform for Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) business, the programme focuses on reducing environmental impact across product design, manufacturing and operations. To date, Samsung has incorporated 10 types of recycled materials into Galaxy devices, eliminated single-use plastics from mobile packaging, achieved Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) Platinum status across all 10 qualifying mobile manufacturing sites globally, and introduced innovations such as recycled ocean-bound fishing net plastics and a Circular Battery Supply Chain that enables recovery and reuse of battery materials. Building on this progress, Samsung’s 2030 roadmap extends beyond product-level sustainability to broader ecological commitments centred on circularity — integrating at least one recycled material in every module of every mobile product; water stewardship through returning 110 percent of water consumed in mobile operations while pursuing top-tier Alliance for Water Stewardship certification; and biodiversity conservation aligned with the footprint of its global mobile operations.

Radisson Bengaluru City Centre hosted the “Aura For Life Party” at its scenic terrace overlooking Ulsoor Lake. The event brought together fitness enthusiasts, influencers, and health-conscious communities to promote mindful living, conscious choices and sustainable well-being. Conceptualised in collaboration with Raja Ajith, IFBB Pro athlete and leading fitness influencer, the event was rooted in the GRT “GReaT Being” philosophy and reinforced the brand’s approach to conscious hospitality. A key highlight of the evening was a carefully curated wellness grazing buffet, featuring fresh salads, artisanal cheese platters, seasonal fruits, protein shakes, vegan and gluten-free selections, interactive salad bars, and low-sugar energy bites. Sustainability was embedded across menu design and service delivery, with an emphasis on traditional grains, mindful sourcing, and responsible food practices.
